The act of giving transforms you. Our team at Saathi, imbued with this philosophy, desired to reach the section of Kond village that lacked a consistent source of income and the opportunity to make ends meet. In a literal sense, even the most basic necessities were scarce.

We are referring to the senior citizens/population of the village that was genuinely affected by the fallout of the Covid economic disruptions/households. Their kin and next generations also had no work, leaving them to fend for themselves in the resource-scarce Kond village. We provided 70 ration packs containing 5 kilograms of rice, 2 kilograms of dal, 1 kilogram of legumes, 2 kilograms of sugar, 1 kilogram of salt, and 1 liter of oil, which amounted to roughly two months of ration.

 We also carefully sourced these from the local grocery shops, thereby contributing meaningfully to the larger village economy, providing them with a much-needed boost.
