After we got a chance to interact with the children our age and younger, the scarcity of educational resources really hit home. Our SAATHI crew found that school stationery and notebooks are not easily accessible to the students and traveling long distances to acquire the same were highly unfeasible multiple times a year. Thus, we conducted another book drive where we distributed notebooks and writing pads. The main aim of the drive was not to merely provide them with the resources but to also help the local school build a stock of resources for the younger students. Alongside this drive, we explained to them the importance of recycling especially in a world heading towards drastic-climate change. We explain to them easy, and sustainable ways they can recycle their old notebooks.
